It is hard to not use this since it is being incorporated into so many sections of your grocery experience. One thing you can do to avoid taking part in encouraging the popular use of this product is buying produce and things without covering or bags. Just put them in your cart or your own bag. This product is essential for something in order to keep them air tight and free from contamination. You do not need to stop buying things that use it, just do not use it when it is not necessary.

With concern for the second one, it is a very similar situation. Fish and crustaceans are very delicate food items that have to be dealt with and specific way. It has to be kept fresh and looking nice while being shipped and moved around. Unfortunately, there is a lot of it that needs to be used in a shipment. If you have the option, go to fresh fish markets where you buy them right out of the barrel. By doing this you are lessening the amount of material needed by one person.
Also, find a way to recycle using these products. If you buy them, do not put them in the trash right away. If you can find ways to sanitize them and use them to store washed fruit or something, do that. The more use you can get out of something, the better. It keeps it out of the landfills for longer and puts it to better use. Reusing the boxes that chicken comes in can be difficult and it is also difficult to avoid using it. It is pretty much the only way it comes and you cannot buy it in your own material or anything. Just because you cannot avoid using it does not mean you should feel badly. If you do your best to reduce and reuse, these things do not have to become the downfall of the earth.
Being a wise consumer and understanding the impact of certain industrial materials can really make you a better person. The use of these types of things can be lessened and controlled. They do not need to be cut out of your life or become the target of environmental blame by any means.
