Eating Healthy Today - Why Is It So Important? By Chef Raman

Indians today are at a higher risk for becoming obese or ending up with Diabetes, and the leading causes of death are poor nutrition and physical inactivity. For a very long time, we have relied on fast food to keep pace with our hectic lifestyles and we are now paying a high price for the convenience. With this in mind many Indians are choosing to maintain their health by eating fresh and organic foods. In addition, many are opting for Gluten free diets to counteract the side affects of allergies to wheat, soy, etc. Eating healthy on a regular basis offers the following benefits:
  • Fat Loss for Life
  • More Energy & Vitality
  • Better Mood & Focus
  • Clear, Glowing Skin
  • Strong, Shiny Hair & Nails
  • Eliminate Bloating & Indigestion
  • Reduced Inflammation
  • Disease Prevention
  • Balance Blood Sugar Levels & Hormonal Balance
Do you want to improve your health? Do you want to feel better? Are you trying to set an example for your kids? Next, think about some small changes you can make. Pick ones you can keep doing.
  • Don't try to change everything at once.
  • Set an easy goal you can reach, like having a salad and a piece of fruit each day.
  • Make a long-term goal too, such as having one vegetarian dinner a week.
Eating healthy on a daily basis does not have to be challenging. By simply replacing processed foods with fresh and/or organic fruits and vegetables is a great way to start. Be sure to include lots of leafy green vegetables as part of your cooking as they contain many nutrients that are needed to maintain optimal health.
